About

Louanda is a specialist attorney in family and child law matters and this is her motto:

“I have embraced as a lifetime commitment and I am being driven by a compelling and unstoppable desire to bring about change in the South African Judiciary and Legal System, to recognise the life-time effects of emotional abuse upon children; to separate custody issues from the main body of matrimonial dissolution; to expedite psychological and psychiatric issues pertaining to children; not to always legally assume that the biological mother is the best custodian of children; to bring child awareness in at primary and secondary educational level; to de-stigmatise “parental guidance” and make this a compulsory attendance to all expecting parents, as would be attending pre-natal classes. Not only does the judiciary and legal institutions require dramatic changes, but also does our Constitution and educational system, in terms of protecting our children.”
